Lets work together, saving sharks and the marine environment on the MV Sharkwater. Join us for another Elite Destination where we will tag multiple shark species and Dive with the BIG Animals!
This expedition is hands-on and will focus on internal shark tagging and counting the numbers of sharks for each species encountered.

The shark species that are typically encountered at Socorro include:
• Scalloped Hammerhead (Sphyrna lewini)
• Galapagos Shark (Carcharhinus galapagensis)
• Silvertip Shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus)
• Silky Shark (Carcharhinus falciformis)
• Whitetip Reef Shark (Triaenodon obesus)
• Tiger Shark (Galeocerdo cuvier)
• Dusky Shark (Carcharhinus obscurus)
• Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus)
• Giant Pacific Manta Ray (Manta birostris)

In addition, to the sharks above you can expect visits from numerous species of dolphins, potential whale sightings, and other incredible BIG animals native to the area. This is your opportunity to have hands-on involvement in conducting shark research!

Cayman Brac

Cayman Brac is known for amazing diving. Beautifully colored coral reefs and wrecks provide incredible experiences. One of the most visited sites is a 330 foot Russian Koni class frigate, which is one of only a few sunken Soviet naval vessels in the Western Hemisphere. It is the only one that is accessible for divers of all levels. Other interesting dive sites are Radar Reef, Cemetery Wall, and the Wilderness Wall.

We will be staying at the Brac Reef Beach Resort. The Brac Reef Beach Resort is an all-inclusive getaway located on four and a half acres of sandy beachfront. Coconut palms, lush tropical flowers, sea grape trees with hammocks and lounge chairs scattered along the beach make the resort a premiere destination.

Gypsy Blood

A USCG certified and inspected Evans custom dive boat that is 50 feet in length. It is powered by twin 450HP Cummins Diesel engines for a cruising speed of well over 20 knots. Features include two rest rooms, a fresh water wash down and room for all your equipment. Equipped with first aid, oxygen and life rafts for your safety.
