the list below, and pick up your Specialty Crew Pak or TDI Materials at Elite Divers.

We will put you in contact
with one of our staff Instructors for that Specialty Diver certification.

Begin your course with the
manual and video in the Crew Pak or TDI Book, to complete your independent study. (Like
other PADI training manuals, you must complete and submit the Knowledge Review)
ü
Next meet with the
Instructor, for a brief orientation and review session at Elite Divers.
ü
Then join the Instructor at
Dutch Springs, to complete your Specialty Diver training dives.
Flexible Scheduling
Courses
can be arranged for small groups, and on an individual basis. Most often the training dives will be
scheduled for days that the Instructor will already be at Dutch Springs for
another program (we have Instructors there almost every weekend during the
season), and the dives typically will be scheduled after the other program is
completed that day. This arrangement
assures personal attention while you further your diving education.
We offer the following Specialty Diver courses, each
providing in-depth training at or above the advanced-level:
Dry Suit Diver – Stay warm in all conditions, and extend your dive
season. A personal dry suit, or dry
suit rental, is required. Course
includes 1 confined water session in our pool, plus 2 training dives. Prerequisite certification is Open Water
Diver, and minimum age is 12. Course
fee is $185, which includes the Crew Pak.
Dry suit rental is an additional $75.
Night Diver – Dark is different. Learn about underwater lights, special techniques, and the things
that go ‘bump’ in the night. Course
includes 3 training dives. Both an
underwater light, and a tank marker light (or chemical light stick), are
required. Prerequisite certification is
Open Water Diver, and minimum age is 12.
Course fee is $210, which includes the Crew Pak.
Underwater Navigator – Never be lost again. Learn how to find your boat or the exit point, and how to relocate
a dive site. Course includes 3 training
dives. Prerequisite certification is
Open Water Diver, and minimum age is 12.
Course fee is $210, which includes the Crew Pak.
Search & Recovery Diver – Find it, and bring it
home, even in poor visibility. Learn
how to execute various search patterns, and how to properly employ a lift
bag. Course includes 4 training dives. Prerequisite certification is Advanced Open
Water Diver (or Open Water Diver with Underwater Navigator Specialty), and
minimum age is 12. Course fee is $235,
which includes the Crew Pak.
Deep Diver – Develop the necessary skills, knowledge and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities, to 130 ft depth limit. Course includes 4 training dives. Prerequisite certification is Advanced Open Water Diver, and minimum age is 15. Course fee is $235, which includes the Crew Pak.
Solo Diver – Develop a higher level of
underwater self sufficiency. Topics include Pros and Cons of buddy and
solo diving, execution, navigation and management of solo diving
emergencies. Prerequisite Certification is Advanced Open Water (Or
Equivalent), Age 21, And a minimum of 100 Logged Dives. You will
need a redundant air source for this course (no octopus regulators).
Course fee is $185.00, which includes the manual.
This is the highest rating in recreational
diving. To qualify, earn any five
PADI Specialty Diver certifications, plus Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver
certifications, and have at least 50 logged dives.
