The History of Elite Divers

Elite Divers was founded in August 1987 by its original owner, Stephen “Nick” Warden. Work began in Sept. 1987 on the Denville, NJ facility, with the installation of a 22' x 42' x 14' deep concrete pool. Today, Elite Divers is one of the few Dive Stores that boast a complete aquatic training facility, from classrooms, video & meeting rooms, clean changing facilities to our large repair and retail area. All instruction takes place in one location, with the exception of the Open Water Dives. Charley Turback acted as the store manager for many of those years.

Upon Nick Warden's Retirement, the shop was sold to the new owner, Dennis Santos as of 1/1/2011. For awhile there, it appeared as if the shop was going to close its doors forever! One can say Dennis "rescued" Elite Divers! Dennis is enthusiastic about moving Elite Divers forward and transforming Elite Divers into a State of the Art, World Class Aquatic Facility. Nick still operates a small dive operation in North Carolina, visit his link Here.
