Description: The Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary & Secondary Care course is a basic CPR and First Aid Training program, providing the student training in essential emergency response skills. Topics Include: The EFR Course combines one-rescuer adult CPR with other basic first aid skills, including treatment for bleeding, fractures, shock management, sprains, burns and bites. This program includes ample opportunity for hands-on practice, and the student will learn the basic ingredients to be included in a personal first aid kit suited for diving. This program is highly recommended as the minimum emergency management training for all divers. It also fulfills the prerequisite certification requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course, the DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider course, and the PADI Divemaster course. Prerequisites: None! The entire family can take this class. Class Overview: EFR Course is conducted over two sessions. It is highly recommended you get the book before the class and do the knowledge reviews before your first day of class. The Course has two distinct segments Primary Care (CPR) & Secondary Care (1st Aid). At the end of the class there will be an exam. . Gear Required: None. Please wear comfortable, casual clothing. Certification(s): Participants will receive the PADI EFR Primary & Secondary Care Certification Card. What's Next? From here, your choices are completely varied, depending on what your interests are. Those interested in gaining additional emergency training generally proceed on to the PADI rescue Diver course, and/or the DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider Course.
